It is because of her dream that that Platinum Force Athletics has been born. Robina is married and a mother of 4 and works full time in the insurance industry. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of the University of Baltimore – School of Law. Robina began dance and gymnastics as a little girl and continued through high school. She was also a professional cheerleader for the Baltimore Spirit.
Robina has coached recreation, high school and allstar cheerleading teams in the state of Maryland. She has also run cheer clinics and cheer camps for cheerleaders and coaches. In addition, she has choreographed routines for recreation, high school and allstar cheer teams.
Her teams have won several local, state, regional and National competitions over the years. She is also a cheer and dance judge for many recreation, high school and allstar Regional and National competitions. Robina is USASF certified and has over 16 years of coaching experience.
Mattye has been cheering since she was 6 yrs old. She made her way to competitive cheer at the age of 12 under the direction of Robina Rives. With the knowledge she gained over the years, she decided to make her transition from cheerleader to coach. She started coaching recreation cheer at the age of 18 and then made her way to competitive cheer coach at the age of twenty-one. She has been coaching with Robina for more than 5 years.
Mattye’s level of hard work, dedication, and commitment has won her both state, regional and national championships, with her 2015 Level-2 prep team coming in 1st place at the US Finals and going undefeated. She brings her own level of enthusiasm and style to the sport of cheerleading. Over the years she’s become CPR certified, First-Aid certified and USASF certified. Mattye also attends Towson University. She loves all things cheer.
She loves to take all of things that her coaches have shown her over the years and is intent on teaching those things to her cheerleaders. Her motto is “Don’t forget to Bring the Swag“.
Natalie has loved cheerleading since she was 8 years old. She was a cheerleader on both allstar and school teams. She was also an UCA and NCA allstar cheerleader. After she graduated high school, she joined the military and served 10 years active duty as a “Chinese Language Analyst”. She has Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Studies. She also received and Associate’s in Chinese Mandarin and Communications Technology.
She is a certified fitness instructor and teaches cycle and strength conditioning at two local gyms. Natalie brings with her a genuine passion to coaching and is extremely excited to in being part of Platinum Force Athletics.
Courtney has been cheering since the age of 5, she started out for cheering for Catonsville Stars Rec from ages 5-10 then moved to competitive cheerleading at the age of 11 under the direction of Robina Rives for the Maryland Rockets. In 2004 she cheered for her high school team, she also played Volleyball and Softball for her high school.
Courtney then returned to cheer as an adult on Nationally Ranked Open Level 4 team. Courtney has coached recreation cheer and is now returning to coach allstar cheer for Platinum Force.
Courtney works in the medical field outside of cheer and is a mom to her son, Braedyn.
